Who stole $12,000 worth of cell phones at Walmart?
Detectives with the Thomasville Police Department need the public help to identify three suspects responsible for stealing more than $12,000 worth of cellular phones from Walmart, at 1585 Liberty Drive.
Video surveillance shows three suspects taking turns removing the phones from the display case just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. Walmart discovered the theft after checking inventory later that morning.
Twenty-one phones were stolen. Brands include the Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 models, and HTC One and Glacier models. The total value of the phones is $12,441.
Three suspects are wanted.
• A white male approximately 5 feet 10 inches, 170 pounds and wearing a blue T-shirt, dark pants, and a Tar Heels ball cap.
• A black male, approximately 6 feet, 200 pounds and wearing a red and white polo shirt, dark pants and a white ball cap.
• A black male, approximately 6 feet and 300 pounds wearing a white T-shirt, grey pants, and a dark colored ball cap.
The suspects concealed the cellular phone boxes inside their pants and can be noticed in the video surveillance as they exit Walmart.
