Melissa Anne Hughes, 39, of 518 Jolly Road, Robert Gray Rhodes, 20, of the same address, and Stacy Lynn Addison Garris, 34, of Boss Hogg Ave., are all facing one count of felony first degree burglary, one count of felony common law robbery and one count of felony extortion following a home invasion in the Silver Valley Community on Sept. 30.
According to a DCSO press release, a homeowner on Carroll Street reported to deputies that three people entered her home uninvited and began intimidating her about an issue they had with the victim’s boyfriend. During the incident, the three suspects began gathering jewelry, book bags and two cell phones belonging to the victim and left the residence. Following an investigation, warrants were obtained for all three suspects, who eventually turned themselves into police. Garris, who also was charged with failure to appear in court in Randolph County, was issued a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 10. She is in custody in the Randolph County Jail. Rhodes, who also was served for failure to appear in court in Davidson County, was released after posting a $21,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 10. Hughes was issued and posted a $15,000 secured bond.
