Life is hectic these days, of that there is no doubt. Sometimes we just need to stop and spend a little time thinking about what’s really valuable.

The world has changed. Suddenly, we have main stream TV shows about guns. The most watched A&E TV show in history is the Christmas special of a family of self-professed rednecks who make duck calls. Today it seems everyone wants a gun and wants to learn to shoot.
It’s a tough thing to leave a warm bed and go out into harsh conditions. My watch reported a time of 10:20 p.m. and it was time for me to go out and fish. I’d been sleeping since 7 p.m. and now it was time to fish.
Today, most folks would think dropping in at supper time inconsiderate, but in my family, we saw it as a way of life. Perhaps, some would think my family was inconsiderate, but I think it was because we were close.
