Ledford ends day early against Parkland

Dalton Harris slugged a three-run homer as Ledford rolled past Parkland for a 17-4 victory in five innings on Thursday.
The Panthers improved to 11-6. Bubba White (6-2) got the win.
Austin Stilley went 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBIs and three runs for Ledford, while Tebo White finished 3-for-3 with four runs, Connor Peacock was 2-for-2 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs.

Panthers top Dragons

Ledford defeated West Davidson 161-180 at High Point Country Club’s Willow Creek Course on Thursday.
Par was 36.
Counting scores for Ledford came from Anthony Bradley 38, Parker Hughes 40, Trey Ragan 41, Ryan McClellan 42.

FOOTBALL
LHS reunion

Ledford High School will hold a football reunion for the classes of 1970-75 today.
The reunion will be from 3-6 p.m. at the Ledford High School cafeteria. A meal will be catered by Carter Brothers. Call 406-3206 for more details.

Fischer nets hat trick in LHS victory

Allie Fischer scored a hat trick as Ledford topped Southern Guilford 5-1 in Mid-Piedmont 3-A action at Southern on Wednesday.
Sarah Baker and Hannah Perryman added a goal each for the Panthers. Baker, Tori Farlow, Brenda Luna and Yulissa Sandoval had an assist each. Ashlyn Mann grabbed two saves in goal.
Ledford is 4-8-1 overall, 4-4-1 in the MPC.

GENERAL
Basketball Academy

The Matt Ridge Basketball Academy will be held June 23-26 from 8:30 a.m.-noon each day at Ledford Middle School.
For rising 1st-12th grade students, the goal of the Matt Ridge Basketball Academy is to give campers instruction in the fundamentals of basketball, as well as emphasize team play and sportsmanship. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability level. Instruction will be provided by Coach Matt Ridge and members of his coaching staff, former players and other area coaches.
Cost is $95 per camper which includes tuition, instruction, insurance and T-shirt.

HiTom Home Run
The third annual HiTom Home Run sponsored by Novant Health will be held Saturday, June 21 at 9 a.m.
The 5K route will begin at the Big Chair in Thomasville and will end at Finch Field's home plate. There will be a Kid's Fun Run held at 10 a.m at the field. There will be a post-race hospitality table sponsored by Sheets, along with Novant Health gift bags with performance wear shirt, gift cards, a Team USA baseball game ticket and other great inclusions. Entry fee is $25 with proceeds benefiting the Post 87 American Legion program.
A pre-race party will be held June 20 at the HiToms game against Columbia at 7 p.m.
