New Hope Christian’s LaSha Dean signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Lenoir-Rhyne University last week.“I would say size is one of the biggest things that influenced my decision to attend Lenoir-Rhyne University,” said Dean. “Due to a smaller population I will be able to stay connected to my professors. This will ensure my success while pursuing my biology degree. I will also be able to play with one of the best Division II teams. I am looking forward to a great academic and basketball year. “My experience at New Hope Christian Academy playing with the best of the best, ‘Delaney Rudd,’ was an experience and an opportunity I will never forget. I truly feel like my time there was worth while. He made me stronger as a person and as a teammate. Everybody had a job and a purpose on the team that caused us to have a successful year. Being coached by somebody that loved, knew and experienced the game was even better. I will never forget Coach Delaney Rudd and my New Hope teammates.”
