Baseball season has been limited by harsh winter weather, but when the precipitation and below normal temperatures finally clear, the diamond will heat up.
East Davidson is once again being coached by Dan Tricarico, while Ledford and Thomasville will have new coaches occupying the dugout. The Panthers have a familiar face back with the program in Chris Adams, who was very successful his last time as coach in Wallburg. The Bulldogs will have David House leading the way in 2014. A player at East and a former assistant at LHS, House is looking to build the THS program into a respected one in the area.
Below is a brief preview of each program.

Season Outlook: “We always want to compete for the conference title and then go as deep as we can in the state playoffs,” said Tricarico. “We have had to replace people from last year, but we have a lot of seniors still that are stepping in.”

Ledford Panthers

Decent team speed will allow us to be aggressive on the bases. Conference appears to be very competitive so every night will be a battle in conference play. Our ultimate goal will be to be playing our best come playoff time.”

Key losses: none
Top returning players: Felix Fernandez, Skylar Barnes, Zack Anderson, Joe Stanley, Dominick Hinson

We have a core of seniors who have worked hard and really want to change the culture here at Thomasville in baseball. We are going to go as far as they want us to go.”
