THOMASVILLE — James Walter Hancock, 70, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
'Buck' Musgrave Jr.
LEXINGTON — Clyde Wilson “Buck” Musgrave Jr., 73, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his home.
A celebration of his life will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service and other times at the home. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
HIGH POINT — Mr. Bryce John Nance, 21, a resident of 3412 Haleys Way, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born March 23, 1992 in Guilford Co., NC. Mr. Nance was of the Quaker Faith and was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Childers Nance.
Surviving are his father, Kenneth Craig Nance, who survives of the home; his paternal grandfather, John H. Nance of Thomasville; and maternal grandfather, Charlie Simpson of High Point, NC.
Private family graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Briggs officiating. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service, at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville.

LEXINGTON — Wade Perry, 71, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

LEXINGTON — Jeffery “Sleepy” Wayne Varner, 52, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington.
The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Community Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and at other times at the home of the mother, 12017 East Old Hwy. 64 in Lexington.
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Steve Warren Wall, 59, a resident of Hasty Hill Road, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
He was born November 18, 1953 in Davidson County, a son of Warren E. Wall and Lorraine L. Johnson Wall. He was a former employee with Younger Furniture Company and had attended Zion United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his sister, Elaine Wall of Thomasville and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel with the Rev. James Simonds officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Lee Roy Watford
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Lee Roy Watford, 96, a resident of Denton Road, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
He was born February 4, 1917 in Davidson County, a son of John Raymond Watford and Mary Lillie Hepler Watford. Mr. Watford was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II. He was a retired employee with Cliff Brower Construction. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Martin and brothers, Carl Watford, Austin Watford, Dalton Watford, J.R. Watford, Jr. and S.C. Watford.
On April 10, 1962, he was married to Hannah Hepler, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a special nephew Jeff Watford and his wife Brenda and other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Hepler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Watford will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until taken to the church thirty minutes prior to the church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and other times at the home.
