Matthew 'Matt' Blackburn
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Barry Matthew “Matt” Blackburn, 33, was called Home with Jesus on April 14, 2014. He was born on December 12, 1980 in Guilford County, NC to Paul Raven Blackburn and Carolyn Fritts Sams. He worked for Davie Grading in Mocksville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ocia Fritts.
On December 8, 2001, he married, Andrea Dawn Sullivan, who survives of the home. Also surviving are two daughters, Hannah and Olivia Blackburn of the home; his mother, Carolyn Fritts Sams of Cocoa, Fla.; father, Paul Blackburn and wife Paula of Lexington; brothers, Kevin Blackburn and wife Jennifer of Thomasville and Tyler Sams; sisters, Brianna and Brittany Blackburn, both of Lexington; maternal grandfather, Donald R. Fritts of Thomasville; paternal grandmother, Barbara Blackburn of Thomasville; nieces, Arianna and Addisyn Blackburn; and nephews, Chase Blackburn and Kristian Greer.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Reformed Church with Pastor Rickey Payne and Rev. Hillis Burton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Matthew “Matt” will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.

SILVER VALLEY — Oral Aicher “O.J.” Jarrett, 59, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Community Baptist Church in Lexington.

LEXINGTON — Naomi Meachum Lookabill, 80, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at their respective homes.
THOMASVILLE — Johnny Michael “Mike” Stutts, 61, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in J. C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (April 16) at the funeral home and other times at the home.
