DENTON — Blanche Parrish Bray, 86, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Carillon Assisted Living in Asheboro.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton assisted the family.
LEXINGTON — Franklin Mason, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Glenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
THOMASVILLE — Lucille Jones Pigge, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at her home.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today (Nov. 29) at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Columbia, S.C. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel. J.C. Green & Sons is serving the family.
Paul 'Eddie' Reed
THOMASVILLE — Paul Edward "Eddie" Reed, 56, of Thomasville, passed away November 26, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice House.
He was born August 16, 1956 in Phillipi, W.Va., to the late Buck and Ruby Reed. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene Reed and two sisters, Maxine and Nellie Reed.
Survivors include his significant other for nine years and caregiver, Easter Farley of Thomasville; a son, Paul Edward Reed, Jr. of Florida; a daughter, Stephanie Frazier of Ohio; stepson, Scotty Adkins of Thomasville; brothers, Charles and Mike Reed of Ohio; Dayton Reed of Thomasville, and Jimmy Hoffman of Phillipi, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Andre, Alisha, Sarah and Aiden; and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the home.
Paul Riley Wright
THOMASVILLE - Mr. Paul Riley Wright, 77, a resident of Shell Road, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home.
He was born on January 14, 1935 in Forsyth County, NC to James Waldo Wright and Delia Mildred Alley Wright. He retired after 36 years of service from AT&T, formerly Western-Electric. After retirement, he worked for The Presbyterian Home in High Point and retired after 10 years of service. He was a former volunteer with Pilot Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief and member of the Board of Directors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Louya.
On July 17, 1954, he married Doris Woods, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a son, Tim Wright and wife Heidi of Southmont; a daughter, Vonda Caldwell and husband Doug of Lexington; a sister, Nancy Disher and husband Jimmy of Thomasville; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Wright, Rebecca Feeney, and Airman 1st Class Michael Feeney, USAF.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. today at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with the Rev.Douglas T. Caldwell and the Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the funeral home and other times at the home.
