THOMASVILLE — Daisy Naomi Hinshaw Godbey, 84, died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Rich Fork Baptist Church, 3993 Old Hwy 29 in Thomasville. Thomasville Funeral Home is assisting the family.

THOMASVILLE — The Rev. Shirley Louise Lowery Hale, 60, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Richlands, Va. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday. Nov. 15, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville.
DENTON — Robert Lee (Bob) Judy, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Forsyth Regional Hospital in Winston-Salem.
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Briggs Funeral Home. Mr. Judy’s body will be sent to Akron, Ohio for funeral services and burial. Briggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
DENTON — Former Denton Mayor Charles Ray Kirkman, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 13 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Central United Methodist Church. Burial with honors by the North Carolina Highway Patrol will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.The family will see friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Central United Methodist Church. Briggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
LEXINGTON — Carrie Adrene Lackey Sightler, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 13,2013, at her home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
LEXINGTON —Reid Bradford Walser, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Arthur 'Macky' Wardlaw
Thomasville — Mr. Arthur Mack “Macky” Wardlaw, 60, of Thomasville, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2013.
He was a lifelong resident of Thomasville and a member of the Church of Tomorrow. He was a very passionate man who enjoyed sharing his love to others about his Lord Jesus Christ and ministering to those in need of a new beginning.
Macky was preceded in death by his parents and infant grandson, Daxtin Wardlaw.
He is survived by his former wife, Cindi-Stone-Amos; brother, Steve Murell; sons, Paige Wardlaw (Rhea), Dustin Wardlaw (Monica); daughter, Shannon Kimmons (Shorty); five grandchildren, Austin, Preston, Brandel, Jaxon and Palmer, all of whom he loved and cherished.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, at The Church of Tomorrow, 906 Oaklawn Ave., Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Paige or Dustin Wardlaw, 1690 Oak St., High Point, NC 27265.
