Jack Calvert
LEXINGTON — Jack Andrew Calvert, 80, died Tuesday, April  2, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today (April 6) at First United Methodist. Private inurnment  will be in the First United Methodist Church Columbarium. The family will see friends in the church fellowship hall following the service and at other times will be at the residence of Andy Calvert on County Club Drive.

'Bud' Carlton
THOMASVILLE — James “Bud” Edward Carlton, Jr. 50, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his residence.
The funeral service was held Friday, April 5, in J. C. Green & Sons Chapel. Interment was in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

'Jay' Chappell
THOMASVILLE — Ava “Jay” Borland Chappell, 83, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Lexington Health Care Center.
The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. today (April 6) in J. C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The interment will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. today, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ruth Craver
THOMASVILLE — Ruth Moore Craver, 89, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 in High Point.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m .today (April 6) at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Thomasville. J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Wallburg is assisting the family.

Jewell Colleen Myers
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Jewell Colleen Whitlock Myers, 84, a resident of Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center and formerly of E. Holly Grove Road, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Pine Ridge.
She was born on September 19, 1928 in Davidson County, NC to John Daniel Whitlock and Nettie Leonard Whitlock.  She worked in the print shop at the Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willard Myers on September 11, 2010.
Surviving are her three sons, Rick Myers and wife Lynn of Lexington, Lynn Myers, and Kenneth Myers and wife Diane, all of Thomasville; sister, Carol Shaw of Yaupon Beach, NC; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today (April 6) at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bowman officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Myers will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

Elisha Renee Skeen
LEXINGTON — Mrs. Elisha Renee Skeen, 31, resident of Denton, died April 2nd, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
Mrs. Skeen was born March 5th, 1982 in Guilford County and had been a resident of this area all her life.  She was a registered nurse with Thomasville Medical Center and a member of The Mission Church.  On October 24th, 2009 she married Steven Skeen who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are her parents, Ted and Cindy Hill of Thomasville; a son, Sawyer Skeen of the home; three sisters, Karen Younger, Holly Fausnett and Amanda Hill all of Thomasville; a brother, Kevin Ashton of Orlando, FL; and paternal grandmother, Joan Hill of Thomasville.
She was a loving mother, wife and daughter and will be missed dearly by her family.
The funeral service was held at 2  p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Thomasville with the Rev. John Langdon officiating.  Interment followed at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

LEXINGTON — Diana Kay Daniels Watts, 60, died Wednesday April 3, 2013.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today (April 6) in the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville. Interment will be at a later date in Alabama.
