THOMASVILLE — Dr. John Greene Herring Jr. died Monday, March 4, 2013.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 8, in the Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville. Interment will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville.

LEXINGTON — Howard Wesley (Wes) Phillips Jr., 61, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.

THOMASVILLE — Linda Mae Huffman Ridge, 69, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at her home.
A formal service will not be held. J.C. Green & Sons assisted the family.

ASHEBORO — Vera Jean Parks Storey, 80, of Asheboro, died Monday, March 4, 2013.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro.

DENTON — Marinda Harris Yates, 96, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Mountain Vista Health Park.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Pleasant Union Community Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of Roy Yates on Bescher Chapel Road.
