LEXINGTON — Richard Horace Conner, 87, of Birkdale Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 16 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a brief illness.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial with military rites will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.
LEXINGTON — William Vanhoy Hines, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Becks Reformed Church.
Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LEXINGTON — Nancy Davis Coble Koontz, 77, died Monday at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Beulah United Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Beulah Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Nov. 20) at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home.
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Luther Stanford Leonard, 88, a resident of Gra-Lan Drive, died Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House.
He was born on August 2, 1925 in Davidson County to William Alexander (W.A.) Leonard and Myrtle White Leonard. He retired as a plant manager from Bates Nitewear in Greensboro. He proudly served as a US Navy WWII veteran and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Louise Cranford Leonard on September 21, 1995 and Frances Lee Leonard in 2005; brothers, George, Roy, and Harold Leonard; and sisters, Mary Powell, Doris Reynolds, and Evelyn Leonard.
Surviving are his son, Steve Leonard and wife Pat of Thomasville; daughter, Linda Lee and husband Darrell of Thomasville; grandchildren, Candice Hinson and husband William E. “Eddie” Hinson II, of Archdale, and Jeffrey Michael Lee and wife Janella of West Jefferson, NC; great-granddaughter, Natalie Hinson; sister, Wilma Baird of Thomasville; his beloved canine companion, Zack; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, November 18, 2013 at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with the Rev. Cris Uren officiating. Entombment with military rites provided by the NC Burial Honors followed in Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

THOMASVILLE - Ms. Daisy Naomi Hinshaw Godbey went home to her heavenly father on the morning of Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Loved ones were by her side.
Born in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Lester Cecil and Emma Hauser Hinshaw.
Daisy is survived by five children: Jean Grimes, Logan Hill, Ann Godbey, John Godbey and Judy Greene. She is also survived by four local grandchildren: Meghan Williamson and Brandon, Logan and Larkin Hill, as well as five other grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd at Rich Fork Baptist Church, 3993 Old Hwy 29, Thomasville, NC from 4-6 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Michael Bowers.

LEXINGTON — John Voils Warfford, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today (Nov. 20) at Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
