LEXINGTON — Barbara Foster Gardner, 67, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Hospice Home at High Point.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
Alice Richey Rummage
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Alice Richey Rummage, 98, a resident of 1057 Tower Road, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
She was born in Commerce, Ga., January 5, 1914 a daughter of Rufus C. Richey and Harriet Galloway Richey and had been a resident of the High Point and Thomasville area most of her life. She was a member of Fairmont Park Baptist Church in High Point and had retired in 1965 from Triangle Hosiery Mill in High Point following 37 years of employment.
On June 22, 1934 she was married to Willie J. (Bill) Rummage, who died May 12, 1988. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Thara Richey Chrisler, Bessie Mae Richey, Freddie Lou Richey Clinard, Annie Ruth Richey Fraylick, and by five brothers, Gaylord W. Richey, James Henry Richey, Rufus Campbell Richey, Jr., William Frank Richey, and Joseph Presley Richey.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Rummage Gales and her husband Bobby Wayne Gales, Jr. of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Chris Tucker and his wife Christy and Joseph Tucker and his wife Tabatha; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Matthew Tucker, Kailee Michelle Tucker, Courtney Isabella Tucker, and Khloe Grace Tucker.
A graveside service will be conducted 4 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Calvary United Church of Christ Cemetery in Thomasville by the Rev. Benny Clodfelter. The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until the hour of service. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Ann Gales,1029 Tower Road, Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.

LEXINGTON — Jimmy Noel Rogers, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Tyro United Methodist Church Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service in the church chapel. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
'Kitty' Woods Trotter
THOMASVILLE — Constance Catherine (Kitty) Woods Trotter, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ December 25, 2012 at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville.
Kitty was born September 25, 1928 in Guilford County to the late Herman Ray and Mary Jones Woods.
Kitty was very active in her community. She served in the Bent Twig Garden Club, Thomasville Woman’s Club, Silver Valley Civitan Club as a volunteer and worker, Square Dance Club, Oak Hill WMU and Meals on Wheels. Kitty loved helping others but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Beauford Trotter, Sr.
Kitty is survived by a son, J.B. Trotter, Jr. and wife Marie of Thomasville; daughters, Sherry Bowers and husband Ken of Thomasville, Pam Rice and husband Frankie of Wilson; brothers, Herman Ray “Buddy” Woods, Jr., Harold Woods, Wayne Woods; sisters, Doris Wright, Judy McDaniel, Wanda Evans; grandchildren, Jay Trotter and wife Meghan, Dawn Ingram and husband Brian, Adam Litwin and wife Nichole, Lee Rice, Jamie Rice, Kyle Bowers, Seth Bowers and wife Jennifer, Rhyne Bowers and wife Colleen; eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church on Tower Road followed with a 2:00 p.m. Home Going Celebration in the church chapel with the Reverend Gary Myers and Dr. Keith Carroll officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
