THOMASVILLE – Gladys Mae McCurdy Jones, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, in Zion Tabernacle F.B.H. church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the funeral service. Visitation will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at S. E. Thomas Funeral Service.

LEXINGTON — Ruby Jane Slaydon Parnell Lawrence, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Brookstone Retirement Center.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Reeds Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Davidson Funeral Home.
