THOMASVILLE — Hazel Boles, 84, died Saturay, Dec. 7, 2013, at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today (Dec. 11) at Hillside Park Baptist Church, 7593 E. Holly Grove Road in Thomasville. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Thomasville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
THOMASVILLE — Nellie Birdean Higdon Burrow, 84,died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at the Brian Center of Lexington.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec.10, in the Love of God Baptist Church. Interment was in Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery. J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
LEXINGTON — Bruce Dariel Davis, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today (Dec. 11) at Memorial United Church of
Christ. Burial with military graveside rites will follow in the church
cemetery. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
THOMASVILLE — Mr. Terry Gray Ellis, of 378 Quail Lane passed in peace at his home on Friday December 7, 2013, at the age of 69. He had been in declining health for several years.
Mr. Ellis was born March 21, 1944 in Guilford County a son of Clayton and Hazel Gunther Ellis. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist. He was a graduate of Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids , Michigan and later establish Terry Ellis Design. He married the love of his life and cherished wife Janie Reid on Dec. 23, l964 who survives of the home.
Also surviving are children; Darrin Ellis and wife Reta, Henry Ellis and wife Devonna, Wendi Adams and husband Scott, Tina Pettit and husband John, Keida Swicegood and Jamie Reid. Proud Paw-Paw of Jeremy Ellis and wife Tracy, Sasha Welch and husband Gregg, Autumn Ellis, Tiffani Dawkins, Sydni Adams, Ryli Adams, Allyson Ellis, Zachary Pettit, Seth Pettit, and Matthew Pettit, Carson Uselman, Parker Swicegood, Easton Conrad and Mara Conrad. 1 great grandchild; Corbin Welch. Sisters; Ramona Ingram and husband Richard, Penny Weaver, Kaye Culler, and Faye Arnette and husband Rick.
Terry will forever be remembered as champion to his wife Janie and hero to his children and grandchildren. He was steadfast in his faith and was a living example of humility and grace. He exhibited a wealth of selflessness with his family and friends. He was a proud patriot and US. Army veteran. We celebrate Terry and gifts his life brought to each of us.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Woodlawn Baptist Church by the Rev. John Wheeles and the Rev. Jeremy Pierce. Interment followed in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrin , Henry , and Jeremy Eillis, Scott Adams, John and Zachary Pettit.

THOMASVILLE — Mr. Wilbur (Butch) Everhart, Jr., 64, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. today (Dec. 11) at Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
THOMASVILLE — Robert Clyde Hagee, 83, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at Thomasville Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 in J. C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
ARCHDALE — Mrs. Betty Lou Burrow Spivey, 78 died on Dec. 8, 2013 at Westwood Health and Rehab in Archdale.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Holly Hill Memorial Cemetery.

‘Louie’ Wray Jr.
THOMASVILLE — Richard Lewis (Louie) Wray Jr., 53, a resident of 188 Wray Acres
Lane passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at the Hinkle Hospice House.
He was born April 5, 1960, in Davidson County, a son of Richard Lewis Wray Sr. and Earlene Cody Wray.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver with Coastal Transport, Inc. and as a butcher with Just Save in Lexington. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Men’s Brotherhood. He also is a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Earlene Cody Wray.
He was married Oct. 12, 1985, to Sandra ‘Kay’ Sessoms Wray, who survives of the
home. Also surviving are his father, Richard Lewis Wray Sr. of Thomasville; two daughters, Alannah Wray of Boone, and Jenny Ball and husband Shane of Lexington; two brothers, Ronald Wray and Buddy Wray and wife Tammy, all of Thomasville; two granddaughters, Alyssa Ball and Rylie Ball, both of Lexington.
A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Liberty Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hinkle Hospice House, 202 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
After the service friends and family are invited to visit at Liberty Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
