Mark Goforth Elmore, 51, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. A service to celebrate his life was held Thursday, Aug. 14, at First United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.
GRAHAM — James Christopher Everhart, 93, of Graham, formerly of Siler City, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion Hospice in Durham.
Mr. Everhart was born in Davidson County on December 20, 1920, the son of Earlie H. and Tula Mae Sexton Everhart. Jim owned Everhart Carpet and Upholstery Company for many years in Siler City. He was preceded in death by a son, Clay Christopher Everhart, and his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Constance Everhart Widenhouse and husband Gordon of Chapel Hill, NC and Lori Jean Everhart of Washington, DC; grandson, Christopher Wolfe of Chapel, NC; granddaughters, Lindsay Decker of Raleigh, and Sherburne Widenhouse of Wilmington, NC; and three sisters, Nova Dennis, Shirley Thomas, and Mary Bumgarner, all of Thomasville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

LEXINGTON — Earl J. Fox, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 in Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Aug. 16) in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Bluefield, Va., with military graveside rites by VFW. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
THOMASVILLE — Martha Ellen Martin Luther, 71, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the National Cemetery in Salisbury. J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family.

LEXINGTON — Veigh Barnhardt Shoaf, 93, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Lexington Health Care.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Friendship United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.

CHAPEL HILL— Daynise Aileen Skeen, 77, formerly of Thomasville, N.C. passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Celebration Services will be held 2 p.m. today (Aug. 16) at Citadel of Faith Christian Fellowship, 108 Salem Street. A visitation will be held half an hour prior. Burial will take place in Thomasville City Cemetery.
