'Wayne' Johnson
THOMASVILLE — Murray “Wayne” Johnson, 54, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in the Hinkle Hospice Home.
The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, in The Thomasville Church of God. The interment will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
The family will be at the J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today (June 25).

Elizabeth Litwin
THOMASVILLE — Mrs. Elizabeth Darr Litwin, 93, a resident Thomasville, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in the Sticht Center of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
She was born August 27, 1919 in Davidson County, the daughter of Robert Luther Darr and Iva Kennedy Darr.  Mrs. Litwin was a graduate of Pilot High School and earned her business degree from High Point College. In 1939, she was crowned the first Miss Thomasville, and represented Thomasville in the 1940 Miss North Carolina Pageant. She began her career with the former Jewel Cotton Mill, where she served as Bookkeeper for over twenty years.  She was later employed with Thomasville City School System as senior bookkeeper, retiring following eighteen years of service. Mrs. Litwin was a member of the Thomasville Woman’s Club, and served as registrar with the Davidson County Board of Elections, Pilot precinct for twenty-five years.  She was a lifelong member of Rich Fork Baptist Church.
Elizabeth was a true Southern Lady that loved her God, husband, family, career, and country.  She was involved in many related functions during her lifetime.  She spent many years supporting her husband and following the activities of the Thomasville High School Band and music programs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey Darr.
On August 19, 1950 she was married to Chester J. Litwin, who died March 20, 2003. They celebrated fifty-three years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Anna Litwin Samuel and husband Mike of Winston-Salem; a son, Brent Litwin and wife Billie of Thomasville; Grandchildren, Adam Litwin and wife Nichole of Thomasville, Michelle Samuel of Winston-Salem and Dr. Ashley Samuel of Jacksonville, Florida; a great-granddaughter, Ivah Litwin; step-grandchildren, Chad Trader and Amanda Alexander, both of Kernersville; and two step-great-grandchildren, Ashley Alexander and Nicholas Alexander.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. in J.C. Green & Sons Chapel with the Rev. J. Byron Barker and Mr. Keith Beck officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorial contributions be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Gary Shaw
LEXINGTON — Gary Alvin Shaw,  56, died  Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday June 26,  at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home.

Betty Wilson
LEXINGTON — Betty Wilson, 79, Friday, June 21, 2013, at her home.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the church. Davidson Funeral Home is serving the family.
