TPD looking for armed robbery suspect

Thomasville Police Department is looking for man suspected of robbing a local insurance company.
According to a TPD press release, officers responded to All Risk Insurance, 301 National HIghway, Tuesday morning at 11:07 a.m. in reference to a robbery. An employee told police that a white male entered the business brandishing a knife and demanding money. He last was seen running with an undisclosed amount of money in the 800 block of Culbreth Avenue.
"Detectives are currently following up several leads," Detective Jamie Foley said. "The employee was alone and there were no customers inside the business at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported."
The suspect is described as a white man approximately 35 years old, between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He was wearing black sunglasses, a plain black ball cap, light grey t-shirt, white socks pulled up high and shorts. The man got into a 1998 to 2004 black Nissan Maxima with a rear spoiler parked nearby and fled the area. The investigation is ongoing.
