Man killed after Freightliner falls off jack
The Department of Labor and the Thomasville Police Department continue to investigate the death of a man pinned underneath a Frieghtliner tractor.
At 5:51 p.m. Monday March 19, emergency personel responded to JRJ Trucking LLC at 435 Commercial Park Drive in Thomasville in reference to a man pinned under a vehicle.
Emergency personnel found the victim, Paul Peterson, 22, of Lexington, pinned underneath a 2004 Freightliner tractor.
"The preliminary investigation has revealed Peterson had been working on the truck when it fell off one of the jacks," said Detective Brad Saintsing in a press release. "Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene."
