Man found dead off Unity Street from gunshot wound
On Tuesday, less than a mile from the home where a 90-year-old woman was beaten and robbed Saturday night, Thomasville Police Department responded to a call at Smith and Unity streets where an adult male was found outside dead from a gunshot wound at 12:47 p.m.
Children, neighbors and numerous shocked onlookers watched as police taped off the area and ushered a Davidson County EMS ambulance carrying the victim from the scene. “Officers and emergency personnel performed CPR, however, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene,” TPD Detective Sgt. Brad Saintsing reported.
Saintsing, who identified the victim as Artravis Ned Little, 31, of the 500 block of Smith Street, reported three suspects were still at large and were seen leaving the area in older model, rusty colored Ford Crown Victoria.
“We have sent out a ‘be on the lookout for two black males’,” said Saintsing who described the first male as 5 feet 2 inches, 130 pounds, wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black beanie-type cap on his head. The other male is 6 feet tall, about 150 pounds, wearing a white shirt, dark pants and a black beanie.
Police are also searching for a black female described as 5 feet tall, between 200 to 250 pounds, wearing a white shirt and white pants.
“Our Crime Scene Unit and investigators are on the scene and are in the preliminary stages of a homicide investigation. However, it’s too soon to determine a motive,” Saintsing said.
