Caprice Thrift, a dental hygienist at Smith, Bundy & Fisher, on Thursday gave first graders a little insight into her job during Thomasville Primary School's third annual Career Day.

TPS welcomed 24 professionals to its campus to show students a wide array of possible careers. Students heard from a fireman, a police officer, a tattoo artist, a radio deejay, a pharmacist, a 3D animator, an exterminator, a physical trainer, a barber, a banker, a lab technician and more.

"‘We're hoping to expose the children to careers they may not see in everyday life," said Sarah Brown, a counselor. "Hopefully the kids can begin thinking about what kind of career they may want to have."
