Chamber outlines ways to help

Energy runs high for the All-American City Finalist team headed for Denver, Colo., and there are ways to stay connected and enjoy this experience from Thomasville said Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce President Doug Croft.

 • Send the team off with a wave and good wishes.

The team will  leave the Chamber office at 941 Randolph St. at 5:45 a.m. on Friday, June 14.

• Social media.

On Facebook. follow  https://www.facebook.com/TvilleChamber.  "We’ll post photos and updates regularly."

On Twitter. follow https://twitter.com/TvilleChamber and  https://twitter.com/DougCroftinNC.

"We’ll update Twitter even more often than Facebook," he said. 

The  awards announcement will be 10 p.m. Sunday, June 16,  Eastern time.  "We’ll most likely announce on twitter first," Croft said. " 

The Times will also utilize Twitter http://twitter.com/tvilletimes and Facebook www.facebook.com/thomasvilletimes to update.

• Watch the presentation online.

"Use this link for the All-America City blog.  www.allamericacityaward.com ," Croft said. "The live stream will either be embedded there, or there will be a blog post with another link to the live stream.  Thomasville’s presentation will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15. Thomasville time. 

• Welcome the team home.

"Whether we win or not, this team of dedicated Thomasville citizens will have given their all," said Croft.  "They deserve your cheers. Welcome them home by being at the Chamber office at 5:15 p.m. Monday, June 17.  The estimated time of arrival is 5:30 p.m..  Spread the word and let’s jam up the Chamber parking lot. 

"Make a sign, wave a flag, and cheer loudly as members of the team disembark the bus!"
