Vigil for Paul Taylor wrought with emotion
A candlelight vigil held Friday for Thomasville High School junior Paul Taylor was wrought with emotion as friends and family grieved the tragic death.
Taylor, 18, of Swanee Lane, died at the scene after being struck by a train March 26 in the 400 block of E. Main Street in Thomasville, near the site of Friday's vigil.
Police believe he may have been listening to his MP3 player and couldn't hear when the train sounded its horn.
THS Principal Deboy Beamon said last week that Taylor was a good kid, very intelligent, popular and handsome.
"It's a tragedy," he said.
Grief counselors are available at THS for all students and faculty affected by the tragedy.
