I-85 traffic to shift in Davidson County

In the early morning hours Friday, motorists may travel on the newly constructed outside lanes of Interstaste 85 North from the I-85 Business off-ramp to the northern end of the project in Davidson County. The traffic shift will start at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, and end 6 a.m. Friday, March 29.

Conn. men face drug charges

A March 20 traffic stop resulted in drug charges against two men. According to a press release, members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a 2012 Nissan Xterra on Interstate 85 South at mile marker 91 in Lexington for following too close.

Dog put down after contact with rabid skunk

The Davidson County Health Department reports the third case of rabies for the year. On March 13, a rabid skunk was found in the Denton community. The skunk attacked a dog and was killed by the dog.
