Crime briefs March 2
A Thomasville man faces charges after a television was reported stolen.
According to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, deputies about 11:52 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, responded to 197 Reid Road in Thomasville. The victim said that two minutes before a Sony television, valued at $2,000, had been stolen.
Deputies began a search for Justin Wayne Thrift, 26, of 5 Lindsay Circle, Thomasville, but were unable to find him.
On Feb. 28, deputies located Theft and served him with a warrant for felony larceny. He was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond with a court date of Mach 25.
THEFT
A Feb. 21 report in the theft of jewelry at 181 Burkhart Road resulted in a charge against a woman of the same address.
Cristen Allision Carter was charged with felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretense. Bond was set at $10,000 with a court date of March 8.
POSSESSION
A Davidson County Community College student faces a possession charge after K-9 Halley on Feb. 27 alerted on her vehicle. According to a press release, marijuana was found inside the vehicle. Johnson was issued a citation and is schedule to appear in court March 26.
