Hobbs Ave. couple face multiple drug charges
Two Hobbs Avenue residents face multiple drug charges after an investigation by Thomasville Police Department’s Special Operations Division.
The search warrant was executed at 15-A Hobbs Ave. at 8:35 p.m. July 17. Detectives seized 7.3 grams of cocaine, 36 bags of marijuana with a total weight of 29.9 grams, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
“This investigation was initiated by the Special Operations Division after receiving information about the illegal sales of narcotics at this residence,”said Detective Sgt. B.L. Saintsing.
In connection to the investigation, Whitney Rochelle Whitaker, 25, and Michael Dewayne Camp, 25, of the same address, were charged with the following:
• Possession with the intent to manufacture, sale and deliver cocaine.
• Possession of cocaine.
• Possession with the intent to manufacture, sale and deliver marijuana.
• Possession of marijuana.
• Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
• Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Whitaker received a $50,000 secured bond and Camp received a $100,000 secured bond. Both were placed in the Davidson County Jail. The initial court date is set for Sept. 25.
