Child injured by thrown aerosol can
A 27-year-old mother faces charges after a child, 7, was injured by a thrown aerosol can. The impact caused a laceration.
Davidson County Sheriff’s Department reported the incident to Child Protective Services on July 15.
According to a press release, the mother refused to take the child to the doctor.
Tamara Cruz of 739 Conard Sowers Road, Lexington was charged with contributing to the deliquency of a minor and assaut on a child under 12.
She was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond. Her court date is Aug. 13.
