Foot fetish leads to more assault charges for Asheboro man
Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office charged an Asheboro man with assault for allegedly touching women's feet.
According to a DCSO press release, deputies on April 3 received information regarding an assault on the Davidson County Community College campus. The victim reported that a black man who had crawled under a computer lab table was touching her feet. A second female victim also told deputies that the same man assaulted her in a similar fashion a week before.
Deputies arrested and charged Christopher Jermaine Deas, 38, of 314 S. High St. in Asheboro, with two counts of assault on a female.
Deas since 2008 has been convicted of assault on a female in Wake, Orange and Rowan counties. He received 24 months probation following a Nov. 8, 2011, assault conviction in Orange County. UNC-Greensboro police banned Deas from its campus last year after he was charged with assault for allegedly crawling under tables at the Jackson Library computer lab and touching women’s feet.
He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 28.
