Deputies seize pills, money
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit on May 1 arrested Myless R. Hooper Jr. , 60, at 140 Forrest Hill Road in Lexington, as the result of a drug investigation.
According to a press release, 50 dilaudid pills and 74 hydrocodone pills were sold to an undercover officer.
The investigation led officers to a search at 1477 Enterprise Road in Lexington, Hooper's residence.
During a search of the residence, detectives seized $5,600 in cash, two firearms and items of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives charged Hooper with two counts of trafficking opium/ heroin, maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell a schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hooper was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond. The seized pills have an estimated street value of $2,300
