Archdale police seize $2 million in cocaine near school
The Archdale Police Department, working on an April 29 complaint, seized 21 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $2.1 million dollars.
Police issued a press release May 1.
The cocaine was found at 11324 Archdale Road, a single family home near Archdale-Trinity Middle School. According to the Randolph County's Geographic Information System, the house is part of Robin's Nest subdivision.
The police department was assisted by High Point Police and the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.
In addition to the cocaine, $4,000 in currency was seized.
Gabriel Murcia Zazueta of the same address was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle/dwlling/ place for a controlled substance.
Zazueta is being held in Randolph County Jail under a $2 million secured bond.
