$10,000 stolen from Davidson County Schools

A Thomasville woman faces charges following an allegation that she had obtained more than $10,000 by purchasing gift cards at Food Lion stores using money from Davidson County Schools.

According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the human resources office with the school system reported Nov. 13 that the former employee, who had worked at the Davidson County Schools Administrative Building, had obtained the gift cards at five Food Lion stores between June and November.

Meredith Moore Bame, 33, of 207 Mustang Drive, was served with warrants alleging five counts of obtaining property by false pretense. She was released on a $25,000 unsecured bond with a court date of Feb. 25.
