Durham residents charged in robbery
Detectives with the Thomasville Police Department have charged three people from Durham in connection with an armed robbery and expect to charge a fourth.
J.B. Harrington reported at 11:12 p.m. Feb. 20 that he had been robbed at gunpoint of his wallet and cell phone and then assaulted.
Harrington was treated and released from High Point Regional UNC Health System.
As a result of a seven-month investigation and assistance from the Durham Police Department, detectives have charged William Thomas Perry Jr., 22, Michael Tyree Brown, 23, and Courtney Genine Sparrow, 24.
All three have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and financial card fraud.
Perry and Brown were also charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Their court date is set for Oct. 9.
“This investigation is continuing and detectives expect to charge a fourth person involved,” said Detective Brad Saintsing.
