Church vandalized; deputies arrest three

A 17-year-old and two juveniles were arrested in connection to thefts and vandalizations at The River Church on Welcome-Arcadia Road at Hwy. 150 North.

Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation of breaking and entering of the church on Aug. 5. During the investigation, it was found that on Aug. 3 and 4 food, walkie-talkies and a camera were stolen. In addition, two fire extinguishers were sprayed into the air conditioner ducts.

On Aug. 14 deputies charged Robert Laquan Ivery of 708 Frye Bride Road, Lot 3, Clemmons breaking and entering, larceny and damage to real property. Juvenile court petitions were filed for the other two suspects for the same offenses.  Ivery was placed in Davidson County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond. He has a court date of Sept. 20.
