Mother, son face drug charges

Detectives with the Thomasville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit have charged a mother and son in connection with possession of marijuana.

Detectives initiated an investigation after receiving information on the possible sales of illegal drugs at 1404 Sumner Road, Thomasville.

Detectives at 6:47 p.m. Aug. 28 executed a search warrant with the assistance of North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.

Three marijuana plants were found growing in the back yard of the residence. Along with the marijuana, detectives seized drug paraphernalia and a 2003 Dodge 1500 pick-up truck. The plants had a street value of $3,200.

The mother, Judy Martin Frazier, 57, of the same addresswas charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Frazier received a $50,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Her court date is Sept. 25

The son, Jerome Preston Garrett, 31, of the same address, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garrett received a $50,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. His court date is set for Sept. 25.
