Man faces charges for Facebook posting

Deputies allenge threats on school property

A Trinity man faces charges after Randolph County Sheriff's Office received a report that threatening statements had been posted on a Facebook page.
Deputies said that on Jan. 1 Roger Chad Parrish, 29, of 476 Bescher Chapel Road had made several Facebook posts that included the use of a weapon and reference made reference to school shootings.
Parrish was arrested for misdemeanor communicating threats and felony false report of mass violence on  educational property. Parrish was taken to the Randolph County Jail where is detained under a $100,00 secured bond.
He is scheduled for a first appearance in District court on Friday.


Two boxes of Starbucks frappuccino, four bottles in each box, were stolen about 12:45 p.m. Dec. 31 from Food Lion on Hwy. 109. Witnesses told the Davidson County Sheriff's Office  that the boxes, recovered by store employees before deputies arrived, were concealed in a pocketbook.  The value was placed at $12.
The suspect was identified as a white female, who left the store in a white Nissan Altima.
During the investigation, the suspect was located at 635 Kindley Road in Thomasville and identified as, Kamilyn Marie Bryant, 30, of 115 Apt. B Baptist Childrens Home Road in Thomasville. Bryant was issued a citation, charging her with shoplifting. She is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28.
