Short foot chase ends with arrest
After a brief foot chase in the 400 block of Memorial Park Drive, the Thomasville Police Department arrested Christopher Todd Ledbetter, 18, of 15 Memorial Park, Thomasville. who was wanted in connection with charges of breaking and entering, larceny, and a parole violation.
According to a press release, Ledbetter was apprehended Sunday, Nov. 17.
He faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, felony possession of stolen goods, two counts of resisting a public officer and parole violations.
According to an earlier press release, Ledbetter on Nov. 10 removed his monitoring device from his ankle and was listed as an absconder from NC Probation and Parole.
Police tried to apprehend Ledbetter who was last seen fleeing on foot in the area of Maple Street and E. Guilford Street in Thomasville after breaking into a vacant apartment in the 800 block of E. Guilford Street. Police working with High Point Police K-9 were unable to locate him.
Ledbetter was placed in the Davidson County jail under a $25,000 bond. His court date is Nov. 27.
