Davidson man shot three times

Deputies search area for suspect

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office found a man who had been shot three times — once in the abdomen, arm and leg — after responding to a break-in at 12:14 a.m. Friday at 11634 Apt. 4, Old Hwy. 52.

According to a press release, the apartments are located close to the northern county line. Other people at the apartment included the the subject's girlfriend, a male relative and two small children.

Witnesses told deputies they heard banging on the front door and them the door was kicked in. The subjects entered the apartment and met the victim in the hall.

"The perpetrators told the victim to get on his knees," the press release reads, "and then shot him."

The victim, who was conscious and alert when deputies arrived on the scene, was transported to Wake Forrest Baptist Medical Center for treatment. Deputies with a K-9 searched the area. Detectives and crime scene units were called to process the scene.

As of 9:30 a.m., an arrest had not been made.
