TPD seeks info in bar/club shooting

Thomasville detectives are investigating a shooting where two people were shot early Sunday morning at LJ’s Lounge at  120-B W. Main St.

Officers responded about 2:39 a.m. to the bar after Davidson County Emergency Communications received calls that a person had been shot. The victim was found inside the club.

A few moments later, officers were notified that a second gunshot victim had been transported by friends to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. Both victims were eventually transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

One victim has been treated and released while the other is listed in stable condition.

“According to witnesses, the shooting occurred after numerous fights broke out inside the club,” said Det. Brad Saintsing.

Callers remain anonymous and receive rewards up to $1,000.
