Man charged with murder

Road rage led to incident, says Lexington police

Lexington police say road rage led an incident which ended with a man dead.
According to a press release, Lexington police responded to 350 West 11th Ave. at 1:54 p.m. May 28 in response to a reported stabbing.
Offers found the victim unresponsive. Colton Edward Johnson, 22, of 394 Mount Carmel Church Road, Lexington was pronounced dead at the scene by Davidson County EMS.
Derek Allen Gribble, 35, of 142 Ed Byerly Road, Lexington, was charged with murder.
Police said the homicide stemmed from a road rage incident on S. Main St.
According to a press, the police expressed their thanks to the N.C. Highway Patrol and the Davidson County Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
