BREAKING, ENTERING

A Lexington man faces charges following the investigation of a breaking and entering on May 2 at 2566 Regan Road.

According to a press release from the  Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, some property was recovered.

Terry Dale Vanzant, 37, of 2549 Reagan Road, was charged May 9 with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and obtaining property by false pretenses. Vanzant was given a $5,000 secured bond with a court date of May 6.

 

RESIST, OBSTRUCT    

At a May 10 license checkpoint on Arnold Road, a driver attempted elude officers.

Deputies arrested Thomas Franklin Garrett III, 18, of 910 Becky Hill Road,  Lexington, at Kapstone Crossing and Taylorstone Lane. He was charged with resist, obstruct and delay, driving while license revoked, and fictitious tag. Garrett was placed in the Davidson County Jail under $5,000 secured bond and given a court date of May 29.

 

DRUG CHARGES  

On May 9, 2013 the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office searched a residence located at 832 Highridge St. in Asheboro.

Randolph County Sheriff’s Office detectives seized approximately 186 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $175 on May 9 at 832 Highridge St. in Asheboro.

Dale Edward Griffith, 51, of the same address, was charged with  felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $25,000 secured.
