Three charged with prostitution
Davidson County Sheriff's Office charged three women, including two from Thomasville, for prostitution.
According to a press release, the Vice Narcotics Unit on Friday arrested Brittany Osborne, 24, of 1013 Doak St. Apt. D, Chasity Bradshaw, 20, of 105 Goforth St., and Whitney Phifer, 24, of Hogan Point Drive in Winston-Salem. All three women were charged with solicitation for prostitution. They were issued $1,000 secured bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 26.
During the investigation, Sheriff David Grice said an undercover detective connected with the women via the Internet where they solicited sex in exchange for money, ranging between $150 and $200 an hour.
"It was a site where people list services," Grice said. "We contacted these ladies, and I use the term lightly, and they came and we charged them with solicitation for sex for hire. We contacted them and they made an offer."
Detectives arrested the suspects in the area of 1600 Cotton Grove Road in Lexington. Grice said prostitution isn't a major problem in Davidson County.
