Joseph Jarrett faces meth charge

Joseph Lee Jarrett, 31, of 569 Leoanrd Road, Lexington, faces charges in connection with methamphetamine.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit, Jarrett is charged with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance (xanax), possession of schedule III controlled substance (suboxone), maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, 
According to a press release, the Jan. 4 arrest was the result of a drug investigation on Hwy. 150 at Swicegood Road in Tyro.  A total of ½ gram of methamphetamine, six xanax tablets and three suboxone tablets were seized during the investigation.
Jarrett received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail pending a court date of Jan. 29.                          

A Lexington woman faces a trafficking charge after a traffic stop on Jan. 5.
According to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, officers stopped a grey Honda Civic at Ernest Snider Road and Old Hwy 109.
Deputies allege that several hydrocodone pills were found in possession of Britny Shores, 21, of 3282 Old Hwy. 109. She was arrested and charged with trafficking in opium and felony possession and drug paraphernalia.
She was placed in jail under a $1,000 secured bond.
