Woman dragged on pavement during assault

A woman was dragged across a street after two men assaulted her. Both men have been arrested.

According to a press release from the Lexington Police Department, officers responded to a call at 12:26 a.m. Dec. 7 at S. Main Street at 1st Avenue.  The woman was walking, leaving an area business, when she was approached by two men, who assaulted her while taking her purse. 

The victim suffered obvious injuries during this incident, police said.

Charged in connection to the incident are Landis Justin Brown, 26, of 610 Burgess St., Lexiington, and Lorenzo Montez Bush, 30, of  818 Frank Hulin Road, Lexington.

Brown was charged with common law robbery, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, obtaining property by false pretense and first degree kidnapping. Bond was set at $250,000.

Bush faces charges of common law robbery, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, aiding and abetting obtaining property by false pretense and first degree kidnapping.  Bond was set at $500,000.

Both men have a court date of Jan. 6
