Crime briefs Dec. 18
A Lexington woman faces numerous drug charges following an investigation by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit at 346 Yadkin College Road near Lexington.
Detectives seized 202 grams of marijuana, nine Alprazolam pills and numerous items of drug paraphernalia such asplastic bags and digital scales.
Jessie N. Beam, 29, of the same address, was charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of a schedule IV (Alprazolam) controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Beam was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
Davidson County Sheriff’s Office charged a Lexington teenager with stealing his grandfather’s car.
According to a release, deputies on Dec. 7 responded to 8683 N.C. Highway 150 South in Lexington in reference to a motor vehicle larceny. Deputies arrived and found that Armando Randle House Garcia, 16, of the same address, had stolen a vehicle from his grandfather, William House.
Following a brief investigation, Deputies arrested and charged Garcia with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, larceny, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle.
Garcia was issued a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Criminal Court on Jan. 10, 2014.
A Lexington man faces charges for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
According to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on Dec. 8 responded to a 911 hangup at 187 Ocie Drive in Lexington. Following an investigation, deputies allege Danny Graham, 57, was arrested and charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, interfering with emergency communications, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting a public official.
Graham was issued no bond and is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Criminal Court on Jan. 24, 2014.
Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office charged a man with strangling his girlfriend.
According to a press release, deputies on Dec. 6 responded to 919 Early James Road in reference to the assault. Deputies allege 32-year-old Jackie Bailey, of the same address, assaulted his girlfriend by choking her.
Bailey was issued no bond and is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Criminal Court on Jan. 17.
