Davidson seizes nearly six pounds of marijuana, all valued at $26,500

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit seized almost six pounds of marijuana, 19 firearms, 54 quarts of non tax-paid alcohol after executing a search warrant  at 339 Browntown Lane in High Point on Jan. 28.

The estimated street value of the non tax paid alcohol is $1,080.  The estimated street value of the marijuana is $26,500.

In addition, detectives seized $3,575 in  currency and items of drug paraphernalia. Roger Berrier of  the same address was charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of non tax paid alcohol, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Berrier was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $ 75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Davidson County District Court on Feb. 27, 2014.
