Two people face charges in area break-ins
Two High Point people have been charged in connection to break-ins in the Wallburg, Hasty and Silver Valley areas.
According to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, the break-ins happened between Sept. 5 and Jan. 14.
Justin Wayne McDowell of 421 Wright St., and Rachel Elizabeth Howard, of the same address, were charged with eight counts of felony breaking and entering, and larceny after breaking and entering; six counts of misdemeanor injury to real property.
McDowell was placed in the Davidson County Jail with a $75,000 secured bond. Howard was was placed in the detention center under a $20,000 secured bond. Each has a court date set for Feb. 11.
Deputies recovered part of the property taken.
