Looking to increase the presence of its packaging and marketing solutions worldwide, Wright Global Graphic Solutions has hired Pat Flippin director of international business development.
Flippin’s task will be to create new business opportunities and increase sales overseas.
"It's a new position for our Chinese operations," said Greg Wright, president and CEO. "He will serve as our director of international business development to drive our operations to (Asia) and the Middle East."
Flippin brings more than 30 years of experience in the home furnishings industry with him to his new position and is no stranger to international relations.
From 2001 to 2010, Flippin was president and chief operating officer of Kingsdown  Inc. During that time, he helped orchestrate expansion of domestic and international manufacturing. The expansion included the opening or expansion of four new U.S. facilities.
"Pat is a well-known and respected leader in the sleep products industry and has made strong connections with numerous international contractors," said Ron Wright, senior vice president of international operations. "We know these relationships will play an integral role in our company's strategic growth plan — especially overseas."
Greg, Ron and Don Wright, sons of founders Bill and Tom Wright, determined as a leadership team that Flippin's qualifications made him a perfect fit for the position. Given the company's steady progress overseas, the new director steps into a position which appears tailor-made for his skills.
"Our international business has been growing at a steady pace over the last several years and we recognized the need for a seasoned executive to help us implement our corporate vision," Ron Wright said.
Flippin currently works for Chapel Hill-based Global Sourcing Solutions as president of North and South America operations.
