Local residents braved the aftermath of Tropical Storm Ida Thursday to particpate in Relay For Life in support of research funds for the American Cancer Society.

It was a heartfelt event for everyone involved as we heard stories from cancer survivors. A nine-year-old cancer survivor named Kendall, gave Ty Pennington $200 to go towards Relay For Life. Brought tears to my eyes.
