It took less than 10 minutes for a track loader and bulldozer to rip through the Creasey family home Thursday morning, making way for their 3,100-square-foot dream house. Check out tvilletimes.com later today for pictures and video from today's events.

It was a thrill to watch the demolition, especially knowing that something bigger and better would be rising out of that rubble!

Everyone had fun with it, too. Ty and the designers kept making education jokes - "This chimney gets an F!" and "That house was just schooled!" - because Tricia Creasey is a teacher. I didn't give much thought to the TV production until that day, so it was interesting to see how they ham it up for the camera in multiple takes.

After standing out there for a couple of hours, I couldn't feel my fingers or toes, and the wind cut right through my jacket. I admire the local volunteers, who were so excited to help out their neighbors that they wouldn't even let Tropical Storm Ida stop them! Thankfully, the rain let up a bit in time for the demolition. It has since stopped completely, and everyone on-site should be a bit warmer and drier from now on.

It was amazing to see how fast the house came down. Watching part of the filming process for the show was exciting, too.
